PREBLE CO., Ohio (WDTN) - A man under arrest for two gas station robberies in Montgomery County has caught the eye of Preble County deputies.
Julian King is in the Montgomery County Jail on robbery charges.
Police are now checking whether he has any connection to a recent series of hotel robberies in the area.
Preble County Sheriff Michael Simpson confirms that his office is checking whether King is the man who robbed the Fairfield Inn on US 40 Sunday.
Witnesses to that crime described the robber as having black hair that was braided or in dreadlocks.
Investigators are also checking whether King can be tied to several other hotel robberies including the Hampton Inn in Springboro and hotels in Franklin, Middletown and Mason.
When police and firefighters arrived, they said one of the victims, a grandfather living at the residence, was trying to go back inside the burning home.
