PREBLE CO., Ohio (WDTN) - A Lewisburg man was found dead in a fishing boat floating in the middle of a pond.
The Preble County Sheriff's Office says Nathaniel Orono, 24, was found by family members Thursday afternoon along a stretch of State Route 503 North.
Rescue crews arrived around 12:45 pm to find that family members swam the boat back to shore.
Investigators say Orono was fishing by himself. His family went to check on him after not hearing from him for a long time. They found him already dead inside the boat and believe he suffered a seizure. The family says Orono had a history of seizures.
The family told investigators they found Orono at the bottom of the boat in a shallow pool of water.
An autopsy is being conducted to find an exact cause of death.
