LEWISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) - Traffic is moving on Interstate 70 in Preble County after a tractor-trailer accident closed all westbound lanes Monday morning.
The semi crashed at SR 503 in Lewisburg around 5:30.
When emergency crews arrived, the driver, Manjit Singh, 41, of Burlington, N.J., was trapped in the cab and had to be cut free.
He was flown by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital.
According to Ohio State Highway Patrol investigators, Singh was distracted or fell asleep, then over corrected to the right, slamming into a concrete barrier.
The rig overturned and slid several feet into an embankment.
There were no other injuries and no witnesses to the crash.
Singh's condition has not been released
The truck was carrying a load of plastic skids.
