WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN) - West Carrollton Police are investigating after a woman is fatally shot in her home late Friday night.
The Montgomery County Coroner's Office has identified the woman as 25-year-old Brittany Geiger.
Officers said the shooting happened in the 5000 block of Marcy Road after 11 p.m.
Police stated they initially responded to the home for a domestic call. When officers arrived, they said found Geiger dead from a gunshot wound.
Seventy-year-old Ira Perkins was taken into custody and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on reckless homicide.
The shooting remains under investigation.
