DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton homicide detectives are searching for the person who shot and killed an elderly woman in Dayton early Friday morning.
Take Gangloff, 75, of Dayton was found on a sidewalk at the intersection of Norwood Avenue and Mound Street with a gun shot wound to the head.
An RTA representative called 911 after an RTA bus driver and passengers on the bus discovered her body. Investigators said they recognized Gangloff as someone who regularly rode that bus.
Gangloff was found just a half mile from where she lived, at an apartment complex called Georgetown Village.
A suspect and motive has yet to be confirmed, but a car caught on surveillance during the time of the shooting is wanted for questioning.
