DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Police are looking for a man who is wanted in connection with the death of an local college athlete.
Officers identified Jason DaShaun Shern, 30, as a suspect in the shooting of Kordero Hunter, 21.
Hunter, a student at Central State University, was one of two people shot outside the A List Club on Ludlow near Court St. a little before 2 a.m., Sept. 23.
Police told 2 NEWS the shooting happened after a fight broke out inside the club. The owners were in the process of moving everyone outside when the shooter began firing shots randomly into the crowd.
Police said this is the second shooting at this club in nearly a week.
Managers did not hide that their club has had problems with violence in the past and are requesting additional patrols during closing hours.
The bar will be closed this weekend, in observance of the victim killed.
