MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) - Police spent more than nine hours at a Miamisburg apartment building after discovering a meth lab in the basement Tuesday night.
Sgt. William Kelly told 2 NEWS they were called to the apartment in the 600 block of Maple Avenue just after 7 p.m. on reports of a disturbance.
After talking with people on the scene, someone visiting the apartment led police to the discovery.
"One of the people involved brought it to his attention that there was kind of an odd smell from the basement and then it just furthered from there," said Sgt. Kelly.
Police obtained a search warrant then called the Miamisburg Fire Department and the crime lab to the scene.
Crews secured the area and removed the meth ingredients from the basement.
One man was taken into custody and will be facing charges.
