TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - Police searched for two people overnight after the employees at the Speedway gas station on Olive Road were robbed at gunpoint late Monday night.
Trotwood Sgt. Fred Beck told 2 NEWS two men walked into the gas station around 10:30 p.m. wearing masks and carrying large hand guns. The men demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk. The men left the store in a silver colored car.
He said there were at least three customers inside the store at the time.
A short time later, a Montgomery County Sheriff's deputy pulled over a silver car near the Target Store on Shiloh Springs Road. The two men inside the car were arrested in connection with the robbery.
We're told the passenger in the car has a warrant for aggravated robbery.
It's unclear what role the two men played in this robbery, because officials were still searching for two more people.
Sgt. Beck said the suspects got away with a backpack full of money and cigarettes.
Officials had not recovered the backpack. They were still working to pass along surveillance video they believe would lead them to the other two suspects based on what they were wearing.
This particular Speedway is no stranger to robbery. In 2012, WDTN.com covered four separate robberies at this gas station.
