WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) - Firefighters in Washington Township battled flames shooting from the roof of a townhouse early Thursday morning.
Crews arrived on the scene in the 400 block of Windsor Park Drive just before 2:30 a.m.
We're told the biggest challenge was getting inside four different townhouse units to chase flames that were spreading to the attics.
Fire officials said the cause was still under investigation.
We talked to Marcello Ramirez, who lives in the unit where the flames started with two other people, including his 6 year old child.
Ramirez said neighbors suspected electrical problems could be a factor, and that many of them had been having electrical issues for awhile.
Washington Township Fire Chief William Gaul didn't want to speculate, and said firefighters were still looking into what happened.
Everyone made it out safely.
The owner of the building was on the scene, helping residents with a place to stay.
