TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - Patrons and employees were forced out of an American Legion post Friday after a fire that started in the beer cooler.
Fire crews were called to American Legion Post 613 on South Meadow Drive in Trotwood shortly after 1 p.m. Friday.
Firefighters told 2 News the flames appear to have started under the bar near a beer cooler and then spread to the ceiling. However, firefighters said a full investigation would take place and not say if electrical work was to blame.
Several patrons and workers were inside at the time and got out safety. Its not known when the American Legion Post will reopen because the building remained without power on Friday afternoon.
