KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) - A 17-year-old girl has died after she was pulled from a Kettering apartment complex's swimming pool Wednesdsay afternoon.
Authorities say Ranea Bell, 17, died at the hospital shortly after 4:00 pm.
2 NEWS has learned the girl was underwater in the pool at 5576 Bigger Road for several minutes before office workers noticed her and tried to rescue her.
One of the apartment complex employees performed CPR on the girl while they waited for medics to arrive.
She was not breathing on her own when she was rushed to Miami Valley South Hospital.
This year, they will help 13 families in need buy toys, clothing and other items.
