DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Police arrested 26-year-old Gregory Graley Sunday night after a standoff.
Dayton Police first responded to apartments at Shadowlawn and Roy Avenues around 8:15.
Major Brian Johns told 2 NEWS police were called on reports of two men acting strangely in that area. It led them to an apartment in the 600 block of Roy Avenue.
Officials knocked on the front door, Graley answered the door but when he saw it was police he slammed it shut.
Police made their way inside where they found Graley in a bedroom, waving a shotgun around.
A SWAT team arrived on scene a short time later.
Officers set up a perimeter, blocking off a large area around the apartment on Shadowlawn, including the intersection of Shroyer and Patterson Roads. People in eight different apartment units were evacuated.
Around 8:45 p.m., Graley ran outside with the shotgun and was quickly arrested.
Graley faces seven different charges, including aggravated menacing, resisting arrest, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of drugs.
Homicide detectives are at the scene of a shooting at Love's gas station on Edwin C. Moses Blvd.
One man is in custody after a police pursuit that began in Franklin and ended in the area of Germantown Pike and Stolz Avenue in Dayton.
