MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) - A Montgomery County grand jury returned new charges against two men accused of killing a Miamisburg woman.
Joshua Sellers and Jamie Shaffer have been indicted in the death of 20 year old Lisa Spinks.
They now face two charges of aggravated murder, two counts of tampering with evidence, one count of kidnapping and one count of gross abuse of a corpse.
Prosecutor Mat Heck said the men stabbed Spinks in the neck several times on September 25th. They then dragged her body to some railroad tracks and covered it in brush. Her body was then hit by a train.
The suspects are also accused of stealing Spink's cell phone and throwing it away along with the knife and latex gloves.
"This is a heart breaking and heart wrenching case, a malicious case. There is evidence that the victim had a relationship with one of the defendants and knew him and trusted the defendant. She was a 2010 graduate and had the rest of her life before her, but these defendants stripped her of the rest of her life," said Mat Heck, Montgomery County Prosecutor.
