DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Two suspects wanted in a crime spree out of Columbus were arrested Saturday morning in Dayton.
According to Columbus Police, Nathaniel Brunner and Devonere Earl O'Shay Simmonds are suspects in three homicides and two shootings.
The two were arrested just after 9 a.m. by the Dayton SWAT at the home of one of Simmonds' relatives. Officers found them at 38 Wroe Avenue in Dayton.
Brunner and Simmonds are suspects in an armed carjacking at Madison County Travel America Center at Route 42 and I-70 Saturday at 4:50 a.m. Columbus Police said a driver of a truck was shot in the head at the gas pumps.
The two are also suspected of killing Lamont Frazier on a sidewalk on Oakwood Avenue on July 25 at 6:45 a.m.
Brunner and Simmonds are also charged with the murder of Imran Ashgar, shot dead at his carryout, in the 1400 block of East Livingston Avenue on July 24. Police are still looking for one or two other suspects in the shooting.
Columbus Police also believe the two were involved in a shooting in the 700 block of Lilley Avenue on July 21 that left one dead and one in critical condition.
Brunner and Simmonds are expected to be extradited from Dayton to Columbus.
Michelle Gavin, 45, of Brookville, was co-owner of the now closed Magetti-Gavin Funeral Home on Valley Street in Dayton.
