DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton Police arrested a student at South Community School after a teacher claimed the juvenile assaulted her.
Investigators were called to the school in the 2700 block of Smithville Road at 11:40 a.m. on Monday.
According to a Dayton Police incident report the teacher reported the male student was "going off again, being violent and throwing chairs at staff and destroying school property".
The teacher said the enraged student threw a chair at her and stomped on a computer router.
Officers and the boy's probation officer were called to the classroom where he was arrested.
The student has since been booked into the Montgomery County Jail on assault and criminal damaging charges.
Homicide detectives are at the scene of a shooting at Love's gas station on Edwin C. Moses Blvd.
