HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) - Police are investigating after one person is killed and two others injured in a nightclub shooting in Huber Heights.
Officers said 25-year-old Charles W. Bell III was fatally shot at Heat Nightclub in the 6100 block of Brandt Pike after 2 a.m. Saturday.
According to police, a fight broke out inside the club and spilled into the parking lot. Officers said that's when multiple shots were fired.
Bell was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were hit in the gunfire. One was transported to the hospital and is listed in critical condition. The other was treated for injuries and released.
Officers said when they arrived, they found multiple disturbances in the parking lot and several vehicles leaving the club in a hurry.
Huber Heights Police were forced to call for assistance from other agencies because of the amount of patrons and the volatility of the situation.
