DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A roof collapse in Dayton sent roofers tumbling to the ground Thursday afternoon.
Fire crews responded to 4324 Farnham Drive near Smithville Road around 5:00 pm.
They say some roofers were installing a new roof when the old one underneath collapsed and sent them to the ground.
Luckily, none of the workers were injured. The woman who lives in the home was babysitting her grandchild when the roof collapsed, but they both got out unhurt.
The city building inspector is now at the scene to check on the stability of the house. They are checking whether the collapse happened due to too much weight on the roof.
A neighboring house was also damaged.
