DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton police raided the Oregon Smoke Shop on East Fifth Street in the Oregon District.
Investigators say they received numerous complaints about the possibility of drugs being sold from this store.
Dayton police acted on those complaints Wednesday.
One employee was taken into custody, however, police say he was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Police say they found a large amount of marijuana and bath salts as well as a gun inside the store.
Police recovered dozens of large boxes full of bath salts from the basement.
Police say a lot of street crews have been responding to overdoses lately directly related to bath salts.
"People were lined up before they were even open. We found it extremely unusual for a smoke shop," said Lt. David Wolford, Dayton Police Department.
The case will be passed on to the prosecutor. In the meantime, the store will remain closed.
