HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) - Huber Heights Police are investigating after a child was reportedly shot in the face by an intruder.
The incident happened in the 6200 block of Larcomb Drive just before 6:30 a.m.
Officers said an unknown man walked into the bedroom of the home where there were two children. Police stated the suspect then shot a 12-year-old girl in the jaw and then fled.
Officials said the girl was taken to Dayton Children's Hospital for serious injuries.
Officers said they are looking into how the man got into the house.
Police said they are looking for a white male suspect in his 20s with spiked hair.
