WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The man accused of shooting his son's girlfriend during an argument now faces formal charges.
Prosecutors indicted Ira Perkins, 70, of West Carrollton, Friday. He is accused of shooting Brittany Geiger, 25 on May 3.
Investigators say Perkins was arguing with his son in their Marcy Road home when he fired a shot into a wall. They say the bullet pierced through the wall and hit Geiger, killing her.
Perkins was indicted on a single count of reckless homicide. He remains in the Montgomery County Jail on $100,000 bond.
He is set to be arraigned May 14.
