DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton's National Park celebrated its 20 year anniversary on Tuesday during a program held at the Wright-Dunbar Visitor Center.
There were many speakers on hand who helped make Dayton's National Park a reality. There are also other events scheduled throughout the week celebrating the 20 years of history.
Speaker Series is planned for Wednesday, 17 October, 7:00pm, at the Engineers Club where Connie Tobias will depict the life of aviator Harriet Quimby.
Night at the Museum Wright-Dunbar Visitor Center is planned for Friday, 19 October from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. It's kids night as they use friends and foes to scavenger hunt for fun and prizes.
Park Family Day will be held on Saturday, 20 October from 10:00 am to 2:00pm. Activities include: special programs on bicycles, line dancing based on Dunbar poetry, ranger tours, printing demos, 1911 Wright "B" flight simulator, paper kite workshop, and MORE! Welcoming remarks at noon from Ambassador Tony Hall.
