MORAINE, Ohio (WDTN) - The Ohio EPA announced plans to hold a public hearing about a permit to allow a hazardous waste storage facility to continue operations in Moraine.
The hearing for Nexeo Solutions LLC and Ashland Inc. will begin at 6 p.m. on July 23 in Gerhart Civic Center Commons, 3050 Kreitzer Road, Moraine. Ohio EPA will accept written comments about the draft permit through Aug. 5, 2013. Ohio EPA will take all public comments into consideration before deciding whether to issue or deny the permit.
The permit renewal would set requirements for handling ignitable, corrosive and toxic hazardous wastes in containers in the main warehouse building and corrective action activities at the facility. No hazardous waste disposal takes place at this facility.
The Nexeo facility is located at 2854 Springboro West.
