OAKWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - The City of Oakwood now has more money to recycle.
The Montgomery County Solid Waste District award the city $35,000. Oakwood committed another $15,000 to the efforts.
The money will be used to promote recycling and divert recyclables away from landfills.
The money will help purchase nearly 600 wheeled refuse waste containers produced from recycled material. It will also buy three recycled-content picnic tables and 57 recycling containers.
The wheeled refuse containers can be found in alleys in Oakwood. The tables will be installed at Oakwood Dog Park at Creager Field.
The recycling containers will be used in Oakwood parks and other public areas in the city.
