MORAINE, Ohio - Police are searching for an 18-year-old suspect they said robbed a store in Moraine Sunday afternoon.
The Moraine Smoke Shop was robbed at gunpoint, according to Moraine police.
Officers said they are looking for Cody Metcalfe who is a person of interest in the investigation.
"He's obviously looking at felony robbery charges with a weapon," said Officer Jon Spencer with the Moraine Police Department. "That obviously increases the penalty. We are obviously concerned right now to bring him in and let the court system play itself out."
Officers said Metcalfe could be armed and dangerous.
Spencer said the teen was last seen with what appeared to be a black semi-automatic pistol that was may used in the robbery.
The owner of the Moraine Smoke Shop spoke with 2 News shortly after the robbery.
He was not there at the time but said an the suspect pointed a gun at his employee demanding money.
The suspect allegedly took about $300, according to the store's owner.
The owner of the store says the suspect was a former customer.
