VANDALIA, Ohio (WDTN) - Spectators gathered for a moment of silence at the Vectren Dayton Air Show Sunday to remember the stunt woman and her pilot killed in a horrific plane crash Saturday.
Wing walker Jane Wicker and her pilot Charlie Schwenker were killed instantly when their stunt plane crashed into a ball of fire just before 1 p.m. Saturday at the Vectren Dayton Air Show.
The air show was only in its third featured performance when the accident happened.
After the crash, organizers canceled the rest of the show Saturday. Tickets to Saturday's show were honored when the show resumed Sunday.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash. A press conference is expected Sunday afternoon.
