DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - 2 NEWS just learned that a Dayton mother and her boyfriend are charged for the death of baby Takota Hasty.
Montgomery County prosecutors have charged Crystal Laurel and Dustin Rybak with involuntary manslaughter, child endangering and tampering with evidence.
They also tacked on a charge of permitting child abuse against Laurel.
Takota Hasty was hospitalized for several days after alleged abuse. We saw photographs of his bruised body. He died Monday afternoon at Dayton Children's Medical Center.
Both Laurel and Rybak are in jail on a million dollars bond each. They are scheduled into court Wednesday morning.
