RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) - Officials at Wright Patterson Air Force Base are investigating a case involving a mobile meth lab.
It happened on Airway Road in Riverside Sunday.
An officer performed a routine traffic stop after noticing the tags on a camper were in fact registered to a different vehicle. The driver and his passenger, a woman, were riding in the truck that was hauling the camper. Both were taken into custody after investigators discovered a meth lab inside of the camper.
Riverside police were called to assist. A portion of Airway road near 675 was shut down for more than eight hours while crews removed the chemicals and camper.
Officials said the man and woman are facing federal charges because the incident happened on base property.
No one was injured.
The investigation is on-going.
