RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) - Police have made three arrests in a fatal shooting that occurred in Riverside.
John Grachek, 45, was shot inside his Rosegarden Court home Sunday night. He was rushed to Miami Valley Hospital where he later died.
According to Riverside Police, Jacob Gipson, 24, and Gary Webb Jr., 29, entered the home with a handgun while Jamie Ballweg Grachek, 31, waited in a nearby car.
Police said Webb shot the victim during a attempted robbery. Two other women were in the house at the time and were not injured.
The suspects were taken into custody by Riverside Police after they were located in a car not far from the crime scene.
Jamie Ballweg Grachek is the estranged wife of the victim. Police told 2 NEWS the couple have two children and were due in court April 8 for a custody hearing.
They also said the victim and his girlfriend, who was one of the women in the house at the time of the shooting, were in the process of obtaining a protection order against Ballweg.
The shooting was heard by a 911 dispatcher who was on the phone with someone in the household at the time of the crime.
