DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - AAA reports lower gas prices as drivers prepare to hit the roads for Easter or Spring Break.
The AAA Fuel Gage reported the national average for unleaded gasoline is $3.64, which is a $0.26 decline from the $3.91 drivers were paying last year.
Those staying closer to home this year are also enjoying some relief at the pump, the average price in the Dayton/Springfield area is $3.56 compared to $3.87 a year ago.
"People are making last minute plans and looking for travel options they can drive to," said Cindy Antrican, AAA Public Affairs Manager. "AAA travel experts report warm, sunny weather is at the top of the request list for travelers seeking destination ideas."
