DAYTON (WDTN) - A Dayton man has admitted to killing a Central State University football player outside a Dayton bar last fall.
Investigators told 2 NEWS Jason Shern pleaded guilty as charged on Saturday in exchange for a reduced sentence.
Shern shot Kordero Hunter outside the A-List Lounge on Ludlow Street in September 2011.
His trial was set to begin on Monday. If found guilty, investigators said Shern faced 18 years to life.
Instead, he could only face a maximum of 15 years to life. Shern will be sentenced on November 13.
