DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Pedestrians and motorists navigating a busy Dayton thoroughfare will now enjoy an artistic view.
Sculpture created by Yellow Springs artist Jon Barlow Hudson has been installed at the corner of Fifth Street and Patterson Boulevard.
The art is part of a greater project designed to upgrade the path along Patterson Boulevard that stretches from the river to the Oregon District.
Hudson said his sculpture represents the concept of fluid dynamics, present in the canal that once flowed where the street now lays, the cars that go by, and the flights so important to Dayton's history.
William Pflaum and his family, whose grandfather started a publishing company in Dayton in 1885, donated $55,000 for the sculpture.
