DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - More than 100 local kids competed in the 7th annual YMCA Strong Kids Triathlon Saturday morning.
The Triathlon took place at the United Theological Seminary
This event was for kids ages 5 to 12 and encouraged healthy living and fun competition as they biked and ran to complete the race.
The Mayor of Trotwood and members of city council were present to award medals to kids crossing the finish line.
The local DARE unit was also on hand to educate families and attendees about safety.
All proceeds from the event benefited the YMCA of Greater Dayton's Strong Kids Campaign. The Strong Kids Campaign ensures no one is denied the opportunity to share in the YMCA experience due to inability to pay.
