DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Tyler Christian and Tobe McLarty were both in Federal Court Wednesday, appearing in front of Magistrate Sharon Ovington.
Both men are charged with conspiracy with intent to distribute heroin and assault on a federal officer. Christian is also charged with one count of making a false statement to a law enforcement officer.
Christian and McLarty are suspects in an FBI-involved shooting April 4 at a Miami Township beverage drive-thru that took the life of a third suspect, 20-year-old Jermaine C. Coleman, Jr.
The shooting followed an investigation that led FBI agents to the Beverage Palace on Kingsridge Drive, just south of the Dayton Mall.
In court, Christian and McLarty made brief appearances, but no new evidence was presented. The US Attorney released the Criminal Complaint against the two men later Wednesday.
Both men are being held without bond and are scheduled back in court on April 22 at 1:30 pm for a pretrial hearing.
