DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A local man was sentenced to serve six months in jail in connection to a fatal crash that killed his girlfriend's 7 year old son.
Jessie Combs, 24, already served all but eleven days of his sentence.
He pleaded guilty to negligent vehicular homicide in July.
Police say Derek Whitaker, 7, was riding in the back seat of Combs' car when it collided with a pickup along Riverside Drive in Dayton in April 2012.
Combs was driving without a license at the time. The boy was not secured in a car seat.
The father of the boy who was killed in the crash Combs' caused says he's outraged by what he thinks was a light sentence.
