HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) - A former Wayne High School Spanish teacher will spend two years on community control and must register as a sex offender following a pleading guilty to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Kelsey Hartmann entered into a plea deal as part of her guilty plea that means she must register as a Tier 2 Sex Offender.
She was arrested in Nov. 2012 after a police officer discovered her in a parked SUV performing a sexual act on a person later identified as a 16-year-old student.
2 NEWS obtained a copy off her 87-page personnel file which indicates she has been with the Huber Heights City Schools district since 2009. According to the file, Hartmann was placed on administrative leave on Nov. 23 and was informed she was not allowed on school property and can not have any form of contact with students without prior consent from the district.
A March 29, 2012 evaluation recommended Hartmann for continued employment, noting that she had "Distinguished" instruction.
