HARRISON TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - A driver slammed into a Harrison Township Walgreens Sunday afternoon.
The accident happened just before 2:30 p.m. at the Walgreens at 4855 North Main Street.
According to deputies, the car was initially parked in the CVS lot on North Main Street when the driver accelerated, hit two yellow poles that marked a gas line, crossed over lanes of traffic into the intersection, and rammed into the Walgreens building.
The driver of the car, Theodore Griffith, 67, was taken to the hospital unresponsive.
The fire department was called out because the gas line the driver hit was leaking slightly. It was not enough for an evacuation.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
