RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) - A stretch of Old Troy Pike in Riverside is closed.
A power pole and wires are down on the roadway between Beatrice and Schwinn drives.
To complicate matters, witnesses told 2 NEWS several cars apparently hit the wires before police could block-off traffic.
DP&L crews are on the scene with a new pole to install.
Officers said it will likely be some time after noon before all necessary repairs are complete and the road reopens.
There are at least 75 power outages reported in the area that DP&L says are caused by the downed lines.
Police at the scene did not know why or how the pole came down.
