DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton high school student Loren Littlejohn graduated this month. Nothing unusual about that except that she also graduated from Sinclair Community College with an Associate's Degree at the same time.
How did she do it? Littlejohn enrolled in the Advanced College Entry Program at Sinclair during her sophomore year and took both high school and college credit courses.
She graduated from the David H. Ponitz Career Technology Center, then picked up her associate's degree from Sinclair.
Littlejohn is not finished with her education just yet. She will attend the University of Dayton this fall to pursue an electrical engineering degree.
Dayton Public Schools and Sinclair Community College partner to help students make a successful transition from high school to college.
Obviously, Littlejohn did not have much of a problem making the switch.
