DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Montgomery County Sheriff deputies drew their weapons to make an arrest in Dayton Thursday afternoon at an apartment complex on Basswood Drive.
Deputies say they went to 134 Basswood on a tip that a homicide suspect was living there.
They arrived and made a positive ID based on a photograph that it was the suspect, Chase Johnson.
Officers made an arrest after about 40 minutes.
They say Johnson is wanted in Springfield, Massachusetts on a homicide warrant issued in July.
He is accused of fatally shooting a man outside a bar on July 18.
The Safe Streets Task Force assisted in the arrest.
