CLAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating after a driver slammed into a power pole Friday night.
It happened after 11 p.m. on Kinsey Road near Taywood Road.
According to officials, the driver lost control, went off the side of the road, and clipped a power pole breaking it in half.
When crews arrived, they found power lines draped over the car.
DP&L had to be called in to shut off the power so crews could safely rescue the driver.
Crews said at least 50 homes in the area lost power.
Officials said the driver had non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
