DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A fire at an east Dayton business Wednesday morning caused more damage to the product than it did to the building.
Firefighters were called to East Dayton Meats on Keystone Avenue after an employee discovered the blaze after arriving for work.
Crews reported heavy smoke inside the building, but the actual fire was small, and quickly extinguished.
Investigators estimate damage to the building at $5,000 and $30,000 damage to the meat products inside.
The health department was called to assist with the investigation.
No injuries were reported.
