CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - Costco Wholesale has filed paper work and site plans with the City of Centerville to become the major anchor for the new Cornerstone retail development site in Centerville.
Centerville City Planner Steve Feverston tells 2 NEWS Costco filed final development plans last week that show Costco building a 148,000 square foot building that will occupy the southwest corner of the former Dille property with access from Feedwire Road and Wilmington Pike.
City Manager Greg Horn told 2 NEWS that he believes adding Costco to the site provides a substantial anchor for the project with a company that has a strong reputation in the industry.
According to Horn the next step is for the planning commission to look at the comprehensive plans to see if they fit the overall master plans of the Cornerstone development project presented by the Oberer Group.
If Costco's plans are approved by the commission it would then go to the city council for an approval vote scheduled for Tuesday, October 29th at 7:30 pm.
Costco opened last week in Columbus and another location is opening this week in Lexington, KY.
