DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The 2013 United Irish of Dayton Celtic Festival kicks-off tonight at the beautiful Riverscape Metropark in downtown Dayton at the corner of Monument Avenue and Patterson Blvd.
This is the 12 th year for the event that attracts festival goers from all over the region.
Headline acts at this year's spirited event include the always popular Gaelic Storm and the band Scythian who bill themselves as "Celtic with an edge."
According to Shawn Kain, the event celebrates heritage and traditions," We've got a variety of features for everyone, between the food and the entertainment, the merchandise, there's really something for the whole family, we've got the children's area, we've got some exercise things to do with the bike ride and the 5 K run and walks, there's really something for everybody, it's free admission so you can bring down the whole family."
Festival hours are tonight at 6-11, tomorrow from Noon - 11 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
