DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The first mayoral debate in Dayton was held Thursday night.
Candidates Nan Whaley and A.J. Wagner talked about the issues important to the development of the Gem City.
Both candidates agree that Dayton has a lot to offer and they hope to build on that.
"Really making sure that we can set the table for and move Dayton forward. That's so important right now," said Nan Whaley, mayoral candidate.
"We should not stop looking for ways to work with other governments and consolidate services and operations that would allow us to create efficencies," said A.J. Wagner, mayoral candidate.
Thursday's debate was held at the Dayton Cultural and RTA Center.
There is another candidates forum next tuesday at 11:45 am at the Dayton Engineer's Club.
