HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) - What better time to go bowling than striking up money for a good cause.
Bowlers gathered at the Poelking-Marian Lanes in Huber Heights Tuesday for that very reason.
It was to raise money for the United Rehabilitation Services of Greater Dayton.
Staff and clients competed against city leaders and radio personalities. Our Katie Ussin and Brian Davis rolled a few frames too.
Organizers hope to raise at least $5,000.
"This is just a great chance for them to get out and bowl and have a great time with a lot of local celebs and it's just a lot of fun for them, but it also raises thousands of dollars to support the services we provide to those kids," said Dennis Grant, Executive Director of URS.
This was the fifth year of the event. URS servers adults and children with disabilities.
The National Weather Service canceled the Winter Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisory just after 9:30 pm.
Sinclair Community College is closing all campus locations for the day due to the inclement weather.
