MORAINE, Ohio (WDTN) - New life is coming to the former Cooper Tire facility in Moraine.
Heidelberg Distributing will relocate from its current location on Leo Street in north Dayton later this month.
The beverage distributor purchased the 779,000 square-foot building at 3601 Dryden Road, adjacent to I-75 for a reported $7.5 million.
"The acquisition is welcomed news for Moraine, and we look forward to continuing to work with Heidelberg on their efforts to grow their regional operations," said Moraine Mayor Elaine Allison. "We are excited by the opportunities that Heidelberg's acquisition could mean to the City."
Heidelberg was founded in 1938 and is one of the Midwest's largest distributors, with eight locations throughout Ohio and Kentucky.
"The Dryden Road facility is an attractive building that presents us with the future possibility for new lines of business," said Vail Miller Jr., CEO of Heidelberg Distributing. "We look forward to continuing to work with the City of Moraine as we progress with this effort."
