DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A nine year old boy was caught in the crossfire of a shootout in Dayton Tuesday evening.
Police say the boy was riding in a car when a bullet shattered the glass of a car window.
The boy was not shot, but did get cut from the breaking glass.
Investigators say the drivers of two cars started shooting at each other along Fairview Avenue near Catalpa Drive.
The boy was an innocent bystander inside a third car caught up in the gunfire.
The boy was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and released.
No word on the two drivers who fired their weapons.
