DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - 2 NEWS Investigates has obtained the emergency call from the control tower to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center stemming from Saturday's deadly crash at the Dayton air show.
The 46 second conversation outlines the basic surrounding the crash.
The controller tells the dispatcher a bi-wing aircraft with the wing walker and pilot crashed on the air show line.
Other dispatchers can be heard in the background communicating with emergency crews on the ground.
2 NEWS Investigates checked with Vandalia, Englewood, and Huber Heights dispatch and they had received no 911 calls, and that could be because witnesses could see there were emergency crews already at the airport to cover the air show.
