DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Two people could spend the rest of their lives in prison for murdering a man during a robbery.
Raylin Holloway, 17, and Carlos McGary , 20, were sentenced to 18 years to life Monday afternoon.
They killed William Totty III, 26, in May 2011 during a robbery on North Main Street. Totty's bicycle was stolen.
Holloway was transferred to adult court early on in this case. She was also convicted of aggravated robbery for robbing two women at gunpoint along Salem Avenue just hours after the Totty murder.
Family members stood before the court Monday and told the defendants how their crimes changed the family forever.
This year, they will help 13 families in need buy toys, clothing and other items.
