TROY, Ohio (WDTN) - The suspect accused of setting fire to a Troy apartment building surrendered Friday morning.
Michael Legrant, 25, presented himself with his attorney at the Miami County Municipal Court and was arraigned.
Legrant is charged with five counts of arson for the May 22 fire that trapped seven people inside their apartment building on Foss Way.
Four of those people had to be rescued from the seven unit building, while three others jumped from the second floor to safety. Two of the victims were taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment.
Police told 2 NEWS that Legrant did not live in the building.
They believe the fire was started to target one of the tenants.
